OAKLAND, CA — If you prefer flying Delta, the airline is making it easier to connect to flights at its Atlanta hub. Starting in June, Delta Air Lines will offer daily nonstop service between Oakland (OAK) and Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL). It will leave Oakland at 10:30 p.m. and arrive in Atlanta at 6:06 a.m. the following day, in time to connect to other flights.
The returning flight departs Atlanta at 7:15 p.m., arriving back at Oakland at 9:22 p.m.
The route will use Boeing 737-900 aircraft with 20 seats in First Class, 21 in Comfort Plus, and 139 in Economy.

The hours of operation for the flights will change in October for the fall and winter traveling seasons.

“We are pleased that Delta’s nonstop Atlanta service will extend beyond summer beginning this year," said Port of Oakland Director of Aviation, Bryant L. Francis. "This expansion of service offers innumerable possibilities to our customers throughout the Bay Area looking to travel through Delta’s largest hub to points worldwide. And likewise, it offers a convenient channel for travelers around the world to reach the Bay Area through OAK.”
Delta has served OAK since 1946, initially via Western Airlines, which it acquired in 1987.
