Ducklings Soon at South Shore Center?

Reader Maria Young believes a mother duck is ready to lay a few eggs by a tree stand at Alameda South Shore Center's parking lot. She wonders how to relocate them to protect the potential ducklings.

It looks like a mama duck and her mate are setting up shop in one of the square tree stands in the parkling lot near Chipotle at South Shore Center.

I've been going by there to teach yoga on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and they are always there.

I wonder, is there any way to relocate them?

I'm worried for them, especially after seeing this on Facebook: http://www.wimp.com/bankerducklings/

I'm not so sure mama ducks are too smart.
