Free Shuttle In Alameda: Days, Routes, Maps

Drivers of the free shuttle buses will help riders with wheelchairs, groceries and more.

ALAMEDA, CA — Need to get somewhere in Alameda but don't want to pay for a cab, ride-share or even AC Transit? The City of Alameda is now providing a Free Alameda Loop Shuttle on Tuesdays,

Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A different area of Alameda is served each day although there are several common stops on each day’s route including: Alameda Hospital, Alameda Theatre, Alameda Main Library, Alameda Kaiser, Mastick Senior Center, and Southshore Shopping Center.

Two shuttles travel the route arriving once every half hour. Both buses have wheelchair lifts and bike racks. Shuttle drivers can assist riders with boarding and exiting the shuttle, securing wheelchairs and carrying up to five bags of groceries or a folding shopping cart.

The service is free for everyone, funded by Measures B and BB.

On Tuesdays the shuttles travel within the west side of Alameda.

On Wednesdays the eastside of Alameda is served.

On Thursdays central Alameda is served.
