Good news for local residents who want to trace their family history — Alameda Free Library has added the Ancestry Library Edition database from ProQuest for genealogical research. Library patrons are now able to access the database from public computers at the library.
Here's how the library's announcement desdribes the new resource:
This is a wonderful database, especially for those looking for their family history.
