Ken Klein Resigns as President of Alameda's Wind River

Wind River, an Alameda-based maker embedded software for intelligent connected systems, announced Oct. 10 that Ken Klein has resigned as the company's president, effective immediately, according to a company press release.

Chief operating officer (COO) Barry Mainz has been named as Klein's successor as president. Klein will continue as a non-employee member of the board of directors.

As COO of Wind River, Mainz was responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of worldwide sales, alliances, customer support, field technical engineering, IT, product management, sales operations and vertical marketing organizations. Prior to his appointment to COO, he served as vice president of worldwide customer operations at Wind River.

Wind River is a wholly owned subsidiary of Intel Corporation.
