Kitchen Fire Causes $5,000 in Damages

Alameda Firefighters responded to a kitchen fire on the 1500 block of St. Charles Street Wednesday evening. No injuries were reported.

Alameda Firefighters responded to a kitchen fire today at the 1500 block of St. Charles St. reported at 5:10 p.m.

First-arriving firefighters encountered heavy smoke throughout the residence. The fire was quickly extinguished.

Firefighters checked the rest of the building for extension.

Fire damage was confined to the kitchen. Damage is estimated at $5,000 to the structure.

There were no reported injuries.
