Pinball Museum Murals Looking for New Home

Four local muralists are looking to find a new home for their 25 canvased pieces depicting classic pinball games.

A group of local artists are looking to find a place to house some of their 25 large-scaled murals.

"We're looking for a public place to display them," said Dan Fontes, one of the four artists.

Among the 25 that they have worked on — some individually and some together — only a few can proudly be displayed at the Pacific Pinball Museum, located at 1510 Webster Street, at a given time due to their large size.

Fontes along with artists Ed Cassel, Erik Kos, and Darci Bruno spend anywhere between two to four months working on these large murals — some big enough to cover an entire wall — that depict classic pinball games.

Fontes told Alameda Patch that the murals are done with great precision on canvas using a small, fine paintbrush the size of a pencil tip.

"It gives it an exact photographic depiction," Fontes said.

Because of the time spent of them, they hope to protect them at a new location that is lockable.

If you know of a location that would like to house these murals, you can reach Fontes at (510)333-6991 or email him at danfontes@yahoo.com
