Police Log: Armed Robberies at Pacific Avenue Home and Bonfare Market

Incidents highlighted here were recorded in the Alameda Police Department log from July 8 to 10. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

Monday, July 8

  • 12:03 a.m.: Forgery was reported on the 1300 block of Versailles Avenue. Suspect was given blank checks by victim to pay her rent. Suspect signed victim's name to the checks to pay for items other than rent.
Tuesday, July 9
  • 9:18 a.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 500 block of Buena Vista Avenue. Suspect opened credit card accounts in victim's name.
  • 10:42 a.m.: Grand theft was reported on the 2700 block of Harbor Bay Parkway. Suspect took business' Segway and refrigerator from inside trash enclose.
  • 3:16 p.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 2100 block of Buena Vista Avenue.
  • 5:30 p.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 2400 block of Lincoln Avenue. Suspect obtained victim's personal information and posted it on the Internet. Suspect also made two harassing phone calls to the victims.
  • 10:08 p.m.: Burglary vehicle was reported on Central Avenue. Two suspects were arrested. They smashed out victim's vehicle window and took personal belongings. The suspects fled the area and were apprehended less than a block away. They were taken into custody without incident and released to their parents.
Wednesday, July 10
  • 12:38 a.m.: A residential robbery was reported on the 1500 block of Pacific Avenue. Three victims agreed to meet with some people at the victim's house to socialize. Uninvited guests arrived at the home. One victim got into an argument with a suspect over her property. Several suspects brandished handguns and took victim's cell phones, a laptop and iPad.   • 10:15 a.m.: Vehicle burglary was reported on the 700 block of Central Avenue.
  • 3:50 p.m.: Commercial burglary was reported on the 1800 block of Webster Street. Suspect entered into victim's storage unit by unknown means. Suspect took loss and fled the scene.
  • 3:05 p.m.: Identity theft was reported on 2 Bower Court. Suspect used victim's ID to obtain a tax return.
  • 6:28 p.m.: Hit-and-run misdemeanor was reported on the corner of Otis Drive and Boardway. 
  • 9:49 p.m.: Commercial robbery was reported on the 1500 block of High Street (Bonfare Market). Two suspects entered business and displayed a handgun and demanded loss from victims. Suspect hit a victim in the face with the handgun, took cash from the business and took another victim's wallet. Two suspects fled with the loss in the vehicle driven by a third suspect.
