Police Log: Body Found at Marina Village Yacht Harbor, Dining and Dashing, Counterfeit Money
Incidents highlighted here were recorded in the Alameda Police Department log from July 11 to 14. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

Thursday, July 11
- 12:19 a.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 3200 block of Encinal Avenue.
- 5:45 p.m.: A 36-year-old man was arrested on the 1600 block of Park Street for carrying a concealed dirk or dagger. He was contacted during a consensual encounter and was found to have an outstanding felony warrant. A search of the man yielded a concealed fixed blade knife.
- 9:40 p.m.: An unknown person was reported floating in the water at the Marina Village Yacht Harbor. The victim was pulled from the water by witnesses and later determined to be deceased from unknown causes.
- 11:37 p.m.: A 42-year-old man was arrested on the 1400 block of Park Street. He consumed food and drinks at a business and did not have the means to pay of the bill. A citizen's arrest was issued.
- 12:59 a.m.: A suspect purchased food and beverages from a restaurant on the 1300 block of Park Street and left without paying for a majority of their tab.
- 7:16 a.m.: A 50-year-old man was arrested on the 2400 block of Buena Vista Avenue for narcotics sale. He failed to stop for officers after running a red light on his bicycle. He was finally stopped, after a short distance, but not before discarding a large amount of methamphetamine. The methamphetamine, a scale and unused empty baggies were recovered and the man was booked.
- 7:44 a.m.: A 53-year-old man was arrested for possession of lost property and theft on the 1600 block of Fernside Boulevard. He was contacted on a suspicious persons call. He was found to be in possession of a lost credit card, a lost check, a glass pipe used to smoke drugs, an altered imitation firearm and a large amount of suspected marijuana.
- 7:28 a.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 3300 block of Fernside Boulevard.Â
- 5:14 p.m.: Grand theft from person was reported on the 700 block of Atlantic Avenue. Suspect stole victim's phone while it was in her possession.
- 3:50 p.m.: Counterfeit money was reported on the 3200 block of Liberty Avenue. Suspect used forged $50 bills to purchase items from victims' yard sales.
- 2:14 a.m.: Two 18-year-old men were arrested on the 1300 block of Pearl Street for a vehicle violation. They attempted to flee from officers on a traffic enforcement stop for speeding. After a brief vehicle pursuit, The driver pulled over and was taken into custody. He displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was unable to perform field sobriety tests as demonstrated. the other suspect displayed objective symptoms of alcohol intoxication and was unable to care for his own safety.
- A 27-year-old man was arrested on the 500 block of Buena Vista Avenue for threatening and intimidating a victim. During an argument, he bumped victim with his chest and attempted to punch him. He then backed victim into a corner, brandished a knife near victim's face and threatened him.
