Police Log: Armed Robbery of Delivery Driver, Altercation Between Teens on Beach, and Commercial Burglaries

Incidents highlighted here were recorded in the Alameda Police Department log from June 14 to 16. Information was supplied by the police and does not indicate any convictions.

Sunday, June 16

  • 4:01 p.m.: Shoplifting was reported on the 900 block of Marine Village Parkway. Two suspects entered a business, selected merchandise and left without paying. They fled in a vehicle.
  • 6:23 p.m.: A garage burglary was reported on the 1800 block of Everett Street. Suspect entered detached garage through skylight, selected property and left through roll-up door.
  • 11:05 p.m.: Hit and run misdemeanor was reported on the 1200 block of Versailles Avenue.
Saturday, June 15
  • 1:01 a.m.: A robbery was reported on the 1500 block of Bay Street. Two unknown suspects blocked victim's vehicle with their vehicles as victim was driving away after making a food delivery. Suspect approached victim and robs him at gunpoint while second suspect stood by. Both suspects fled in their respective vehicles with the loss. Click here for more details on this incident.
  • 11:57 a.m.: A 36-year-old man was stopped during a traffic enforcement stop on the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue. When an officer approached his vehicle, he drove off and led police on a pursuit. He eventually parked his vehicle and ran away. He refused to comply with commands to stop. He was located in the immediate area and was found to have a felony warrant. He was found in possession of burglary tools and property which did not belong to him and was arrested.
  • 1:42 p.m. A commercial burglary was reported on the 2900 block of Main Street. Suspect cut the chain link fence surrounding victim's storage building and made entry onto the property. Suspect then cut a padlock on victim's storage building and made entry.
  • 4:24 p.m.: Grand theft was reported on the 900 block of Grand Street. Suspect removed lock by unknown means, attached trailer to unknown vehicle and drove away with the trailer.
  • 4:58 p.m.: Commercial burglary was reported at 1 Singleton Avenue. Suspect removed padlock from victim's storage unit, took property and fled with the loss.
  • 5:22 p.m.: Bad checks were reported on the 2200 block of Otis Drive. Suspect entered bank and attempted to cash fraudulent check.
  • 5:53 p.m.: Shoplifting was reported on the 2500 block of Blanding Avenue. A 26-year-old woman entered business, selected loss and left. She was arrested for petty theft and an outside agency misdemeanor warrant.
  • 7:58 p.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 1900 block of Thau Way.
Friday, June 14
  • 12:49 a.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 1800 block of Clement Avenue. 
  • 10:52 a.m.: Attempted robbery was reported on the 1100 block of Park Avenue. Suspect lifted up his shirt to show victim firearm in his waistband in an attempt to intimidate victim and steal his bicycle. Victim fled the scene before suspect could complete the robbery.
  • 12:52 p.m.: Vehicle burglary was reported on the 200 block of Brush Street. Suspect entered victim's locked vehicle by unknown means, took victim's digital camera and fled with the loss.
  • 3:09 p.m: Vehicle burglary was reported on the 2400 block of Central Avenue. Suspects broke window to unoccupied vehicle, took backpack and fled.
  • 7:41 p.m.: Grand theft from vehicle was reported on the 1700 block of Webster Street. Suspect opened victim's vehicle door and grabbed cell phone from victim's lap, Suspect fled scene with loss.
  • 5:58 p.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 900 block of Shorepoint Court. Suspect used victim's personal info to open credit card account and make fraudulent charges.
  • 8:47 p.m.: Rape was reported. Suspect used force and fear in order to have sexual intercourse with victim.
Thursday, June 13
  • 6:56 a.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 300 block of Westline Drive.
  • 2:27 p.m.: Grand theft was reported on the 3100 block of El Sereno. Suspect removed pad lock from victim's suitcase and stole jewelry.
  • 4:50 p.m.: Auto theft was reported on the 2400 block of Santa Clara Avenue. 
  • 7:17 p.m.: Two juvenile males were arrested on the 600 block of Westline Drive after an altercation. A 16-year-old boy got into a verbal altercation with a 14-year-old boy. The 16-year-old boy pulled out a knife and threatened to use it on other boy. During the altercation the 14-year-old boy took 16 year old's unattended cell phone and fled with the loss.
