ALAMEDA, CA — Memorial Day marks the unofficial start of summer in Alameda, and this year, many residents will mark the new season with a three-day weekend filled with memorial services, outdoor events and backyard barbecues.
At this point, your weekend is likely planned to a T. But, as most of us know, Mother Nature could always step in and ruin that carefully outlined itinerary with a trifecta of rain, storms and cloudy skies.
So far, Alameda looks as if it will avoid a gloomy meteorological fate, according to the most recent forecast for our area.

As you head home from work Friday evening, expect overnight temperatures as low as 52 degrees and partly cloudy skies.

Saturday, Sunday and Monday bring with them mostly sunny skies and warm, springtime temperatures. Over the weekend temperatures will climb as high as 66 degrees, AccuWeather products. On Monday, a high of 67 degrees is expected.

Saturday and Sunday will be mostly sunny with temperatures climbing to 68 and 71 degrees, respectively.
