Rec Dept. Wants Your Vote for Next Summer's Movies in the Park

It's not quite the Oscars, but Alameda residents do have the chance to vote from now through Tuesday, Jan. 7 for the movies they would most like to see next summer.

The Alameda Recreation and Park Department is asking local residents to vote for the films that should be shown as its 2014 "Starlight Movies in the Park."

Choices include Iron Giant, How to Train Your Dragon, Little Mermaid, Smurfs 2, National Treasure and several more

Results will be announced in the 2014 Summer Activity Guide.
