Robbers Target Pizza Delivery Driver After Trying to Steal Woman's Purse

No injuries were reported in the incidents which happened on Benton Street and Santa Clara Avenue, the Oakland Tribune reports.

Two men who robbed a pizza delivery driver Monday night are likely the same men who attempted to steal a woman's purse right before, police told the Oakland Tribune.

The 22-year-old Domino's Pizza employee was returning to his car after making a delivery when one of the suspects showed him his handgun that was tucked into his waistband, the Oakland Tribune reports.

After the suspects took the delivery driver's money, they took off in a white car that may have been a Honda, according to the Oakland Tribune.

The same two suspects attempted to steal a woman's purse about 10 minutes earlier on Santa Clara Avenue, police told the Oakland Tribune.

According to the Oakland Tribune, one suspect is described to be Hispanic, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 140 to 150 pounds, with a moustache and shoulder length dark hair. He was wearing a dark hoodie, blue jeans and white tennis shoes.

The second suspect was also Hispanic, 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 5 inches tall, 140 to 150 pounds with short dark hair. He was wearing khaki pants and a baseball cap, shirt and shoes that were each red and black.
