Sex Offense, Identity Thefts and Car Break-Ins

Sunday, Oct. 28
- 3:20 p.m.: A sex offense was reported. A suspect committed a lewd act on a child under the age of 14 years old. The victim reported that this incident occurred between 1991 and 1993.
- 8:15 p.m.: A petty theft shoplift was reported at 2200 block of South Shore Center. A 40-year-old woman was arrested for theft by a store loss prevention employee after being caught shoplifting.
Saturday, Oct. 27
- 6:53 a.m.: A car burglary was reported on the 300 block of Taylor Avenue. An unknown suspect entered the victim's locked and unattended vehicle by unknown means. The suspect conducted a messy search of the inside but left the scene without removing anything.
- 9:28 a.m.: A car theft was reported on the 2500 block of Central Avenue. A parked car was stolen.
- 6:49 a.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 100 block of Central Avenue. An unknown suspect used a victim's ATM/Visa card information to purchase items.

- 9:47 a.m.: Invasion of privacy with a concealed camera was reported on Encinal Avenue. A 17-year-old took photos looking down a victim's blouse without her consent then posted the photos on a public website.Â
- 2:20 p.m.: An car theft was reported on the 2000 block of Pacific Avenue.Â
- 4:01 p.m.: A dog theft was reported on the 350 block of Stardust Place. An unknown suspect took a victim's dog without permission.
Thursday, Oct. 25
- 2:39 p.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 1800 block of Pearl Street. A suspect used a victim's bank account number to forge a check.
- 5:28 p.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 1110 block of Otis Drive. An unknown suspect made unauthorized purchases with the victim's Macy's credit card information.
- 9:29 p.m.: Domestic violence was reported after a suspect went to the victim's apartment and punched the victim in her face when she opened the door. Both lived together while during their one-year relationship more than 20 years ago.

- 9:06 a.m.: A car burglary was reported on the 900 block of Pacific Avenue. An unknown suspect broke into two parked vehicles by breaking the windows. The suspect stole property from both vehicles and fled the area.
- 10:41 a.m.: A suspect brandished a firearm at a victim at the 2500 block of Clement Avenue.
- 3:04 p.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 400 block of Buena Vista Avenue. An unknown suspect obtained a victim's personal information by unknown means, and opened a credit account and made purchases.
Tuesday, Oct. 23
- 6:16 a.m.: A car burglary was reported on the 1800 block of Broadway. Various tools were taken from a victim's vehicle.
- 6:51 a.m.: A car burglary was reported on the 2500 block of Eagle Avenue. Various items were taken from a victim's locked vehicle.
- 8:31 a.m.: A residential burglary was reported on the 2500 block of Eagle Avenue. An unknown suspect entered the victim's home through an unlocked window and steals various tools.
- 8:28 a.m.: A commercial burglary was reported on the 1200 block of Harbor Bay Parkway. An unknown suspect pried open a rear door of the business to gain entry. The suspect took electronics.
- 12:37 p.m.: A vehicle was vandalized by an unknown suspect on the 1150 block of Regent Street. Three tired were slashed by an unknown object.
- 2:08 p.m.: A residential burglary was reported on the 500 block of Central Avenue. A suspect entered the victim's home and stole jewelry.
- 6:18 p.m.: A misdemeanor hit and run was reported on the corner of Central Avenue and Everett Street.
Monday, Oct. 22
- 6:25 a.m.: A car burglary was reported on the 2500 block of Eagle Avenue. A portable generator was taken from the car.
- 7:40 a.m.: A car burglary was reported on the 1200 block of Bay Street. A Fastrack responder was taken.
- 7:23 a.m.: A garage burglary was reported on the 1000 block of Via Aliso. The suspect got in through an unlocked pedestrian door and took tools, bicycles and computers.
- 9:44 a.m.: A car burglary was reported on the corner of Oak Street and San Antonio Avenue. A DMV registration and insurance card were taken.
- 9:55 a.m.: Petty theft from a vehicle was reported on the 400 block of Neptune Gardens Avenue. A computer, back pack, mail, vehicle registration, insurance card and cash were taken.
- 11:12 a.m.: A car burglary was reported on the 2500 block of Eagle Avenue. A CD/stereo was taken from the dash.
- 2:38 p.m.: Identity theft was reported on the 1500 block of Oak Street. A suspect used a victim's identity to make fraudulent purchases.
