Sprouts & Shutters: New Lithuanian Restaurant, Consignment Store Reopening and Reported Activity at Former Woori Market

A new Lithuanian restaurant will be opening in the former Woori Market space called Mama Papa Lithuania. The website Grub Street San Francisco reports that the owner, Vaidas Sukys, put in a beer and wine license application in late April.
A Patch reader has reported that it appears as if someone is reopening the former Chestnut Encinal Market. She said after driving by earlier this week, she noticed movers bringing in meats cases. The store at 1202 Chestnut St. reportedly closed in January.
Another reader reported that Aphrodite's Closet, a women's consignment store, will reopen June 8. A fire caused it to close down its 1201 Park St. location since late March. The new location will be at 1419 Park Street located inside Pillow Park Plaza.
