Suspects Arrested in Robbery of Elderly Woman
A 26-year-old woman from Oakland and a 34-year-old transient man are facing charges of robbery and elder abuse after pushing down an elderly woman and taking her purse in Alameda Tuesday morning.

On the morning of Aug. 13, an elderly adult female was walking in the area of Pacific Avenue and Wood Street in Alameda, when she was approached by an adult female suspect.
The suspect pushed the victim down, took her purse and fled the area.

An extensive area check was conducted by responding police units however the suspect was not located. The victim was not seriously injured.
Following a lengthy investigation, detectives from the Violent Crimes Unit were able to identify and subsequently arrest the adult female suspect and an adult male accomplice.
The female, a 26-year-old Oakland resident and the male, a 34-year-old transient, are facing charges of robbery and elder abuse stemming from this case.
