Target officials recently announced plans to open a new store in the Alameda Landing Shopping Center around October of next year.
It will be one of 15 stores to open in 2013. The Alameda store will be approximately 140,000 square feet. The store will offer a selection of produce, packaged meats and pre-packaged baked goods.
About 200 employees will work at the Alameda Target. The company plans to host job fairs two months prior to the new store opening. Prospective candidates may apply and interview for open team member positions. Candidates may also apply online at Target.com/careers or at in-store kiosks located in all Target Stores three months before the new store opening.

As part of the company's goals, it creates partnerships with local organizations in all communities it serves. This store plans to start a local grant program, contribute to the United Way and donate food to a Feeding America member, or approved agency according to its release. The company also encourages team members to volunteer their time to serve the needs of their community.
"California continues to be a strong market for Target, and we're excited to expand our presence there in 2013," said Cary Strouse, Target's senior vice president of stores in the Western region. "Target is committed to being a good neighbor and developing long-lasting relationships with guests and the Alameda community."
