ALAMEDA, CA — Caltrans has scheduled an overnight closure of the Webster Tube connecting Oakland and Alameda on Wednesday for routine maintenance, Caltrans officials said.
The Webster Tube will close at 10 p.m. Wednesday and will reopen at 4:30 a.m. Thursday.
The Posey Tube will be unaffected and remain open.

The maintenance work will be postponed if it rains, officials said.
There will be electronic message boards and directional signs put up to assist motorists traveling in the area, and the California Highway Patrol will be at the work site during the closure.
