Home prices continue to surge in the Bay Area as they cool off a bit elsewhere.
The median price for a home in the nine-county Bay Area jumped to $585,000 in August, a 36 percent increase from the year before.
The price of a home can vary greatly from ZIP code to ZIP code, so we'd thought we'd take a look at houses on the market that are priced close to each community's median price.
In Alameda, there's this four-bedroom, two-bathroom house at 428 Fair Haven Road that's listed at $680,000.
