Jabbrrboxes can be rented at a rate of $15 per 30 minutes, according to the airport.

"Today's workforce demands to be productive while traveling, and often finds it difficult to accomplish this in places like airports," said Brian Hackathorn, co-founder and co-CEO of Jabbrrbox, in a written statement.

"We're proud to be able to provide (Oakland airport) with the privacy of a Jabbrrbox, so passengers can make an important call, send a few emails or even rest in a quiet space before a long flight," Hackathorn said.

Jabbrrboxes are operating at four other airports in the U.S.
