The body of a 53-year-old man was found in a van parked outside Nob Hill Supermarket in early December. The body is still currently being held by the Alameda County coroner's bureau, which is performing an autopsy to determine the cause of death.

A 15-year-old driver sustained life-threatening injuries when a car hit a tree on Island Drive back in July. The five passengers in the car received non-life-threatening injuries. According to police, the car belonged to the parents of one of the passengers and was taken without permission.
