In the market for an electric, or plug-in-hybrid vehicle? Three funding opportunities are available now to help bring down the costs of buying or leasing a clean vehicle.
1. NEW: Drive Clean Bay Area is organizing a group purchase of EVs to bring down the cost for customers. The group purchase collaborative offers 11 electric or hybrid models with additional $1,300 to $6,000 off MSRP, on top of the Federal tax credit, State rebate, and PG&E rebate. 2. The Bay Area Air Quality Management District's Clean Cars for All Program is offering incentives for income-qualified Bay Area residents to retire their older vehicle and replace it with a hybrid electric, plug-in hybrid electric, or battery electric vehicle, or to get a Clipper Card for public transit. The Clean Cars for All Program is now accepting applications. Find out if you are eligible and apply today at http://www.baaqmd.gov/funding-and-incentives/residents/clean-cars-for-all.
3. DEADLINE EXTENDED: The Bay Area SunShares program has extended its deadline for applications to November 30, 2019. SunShares pools the buying power of the community to secure lower up-front purchase pricing and financing options for residential solar, and purchases of the 2019 all-electric Nissan Leaf.
