Fire Benefit Comedy Show In Berkeley Tonight
All proceeds will go to the Redwood Empire Food Bank.

BERKELEY, CA — Four comedians will perform in Berkeley tonight at a benefit for Redwood Empire Food Bank. The food bank has been providing assistance to fire victims in Sonoma County. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the food bank.
In addition, people attending the show may bring canned food, toiletries and other donations for the fire evacuees.
Performing tonight will be Scott Blakeman, Yayne Abeba, Aundré the Wonderwoman, and Lisa Geduldig. Their bios are below.

The fun gets underway at 8 p.m. at Ashkenaz Music & Dance Community Center, 1317 San Pablo Ave., Berkeley, 94702. Tickets are $15 - $20 on Eventbrite.
Scott Blakeman, New York’s premiere political comedian, has performed his contemporary Jewish and political humor around the world including the Montreal. Just For Laughs Festival, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, the Jewish Historical Museum in Amsterdam, and Kung Pao Kosher Comedy in San Francisco. He is an original member of Laughing Liberally, New York's longest running political comedy show, was featured on MSNBC's live coverage of the 2016 White House Correspondents Dinner, and has made several appearances on CNN, MSNBC and Fox News. Yayne Abeba is a San Francisco native, comedian, and activist. Her comedy makes you sit up straight in your chair and listen because she's got something to say. Yayne excels in the way she rolls jokes off that edge of comfort and finesses itwith a tell it like it is teflon charm. Color her smart and powerful! Growing up in the
diverse world of the Haight Ashbury, she gives us glimpses at different cultures: Ethiopian, American, and millennials.

Aundré the Wonderwoman has garnered a reputation as a solid talent dishing upcontent-based comedy ranging from the ridiculous to the sublime. This anti-deathpenalty lawyer by day/comedian by night is a keen observer of human behaviorwho will have you laughing at everything from disability to the politics of the day.
Her credits include The Funniest Woman in Half Moon Bay, Oakland’s Funniest Comic on the Strip, and Winner of the Inaugural Russian River Comedy Competition. She was a semi-finalist in the 2005 San Francisco International Comedy Competition and in 2008 received the Stand Up For Justice Award for her
work against the death penalty.
Lisa Geduldig is a local comedian and comedy producer who’s the creator, producer, and MC of a variety of comedy shows including Kung Pao Kosher Comedy - Jewish comedy on Christmas in a Chinese Restaurant (celebrating its 25th Anniversary this December!); Comedy Returns to El Rio! (which just celebrated its 8th Anniversary); Funny Girlz: A Smorgasbord of Women Comedians; The Color of Funny: A Multi-Cultural Comedy Show; and A Muslim, A Mormon, and A Jew Walk into A Bar: The Comedy of Religion.
