Giants to be Honored at White House for Third Time in Five Years

The San Francisco Giants will be honored by President Barack Obama at the White House on Thursday for their 2014 World Series victory, White House officials said today. The Giants won the World Series in October with a 3-2 Game 7 victory over the Kansas City Royals.
This week’s visit to the White House will be the team’s third in the past five years, as the team also won the World Series in 2010 and 2012. The Giants have a record of 30-23 this year and are currently in second place in the National League West division.
The White House event will take place Thursday at 2:15 p.m. EDT.
