
BAY AREA — The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for the San Francisco Bay Area for Thursday.
Strong, sustained winds up to 30 miles an hour are expected, along with higher gusts up to 50 mph. The wind will arrive overnight Wednesday into Thursday. As always, the highest gusts will be in the higher elevations.
The Wind Advisory will last through Thursday morning's commute, so plan accordingly if you drive over a bridge or operate a high profile vehicle.

We should also see moderate to heavy rain.
If you've been waiting all winter to get in some good skiing - this weekend could be your best bet. The Sierra is expected to get clobbered with several feet of snow. The NWS is calling this the strongest snow storm of the season.
