Human Skull Found Near Tilden Park

A human skull was found out in the open in the area of Grizzly Peak Boulevard this afternoon, Wednesday, according to Oakland police.

A human skull was found this afternoon, Wednesday, near Tilden Regional Park, an Oakland police spokeswoman said.

Officers responded to the area of Grizzly Peak Boulevard, about a half mile west of South Park Drive, after receiving tips regarding a human skull, Officer Johnna Watson said.

When officers arrived, they found a human skull "out in the open," Watson said.

Police are continuing to investigate the incident. Further information was not immediately available.
