Letter: Local Service Captures, Re-Home Bees
Sarah Ridge writes about how she captures swarms of bees and relocate them — saving folks money and saving bees from being poisoned.

I capture swarms of bees and re-home them as well as make and sell hives and remove colonies that have moved into people's walls.
When I capture them I not only save the people about $100 as I charge nothing or very little (depending on how far away or how much work it is) and I often save the bees from being poisoned.
The Albany fire and police already refer everyone who calls about a swarm siting to me and that is great but the more people who know, the more calls I will get.

There are so many back yard beekeepers now and their bees swarm and move into folks' homes (chimneys, walls etc.) and that ends up costing a lot of money.
If I get notified right away I end up being able to not only save the bees and sell them to a new beekeeper but save someone lots of money not having to demo their walls or poison the bees.
