Thank you for your interest in and support of our plight with the Albany turkey flock(s).

I have posted a brief update on Albany Patch:

As neighbors might have noticed over the past couple of weeks, the turkeys have returned to Gill Tract. For a while, just a couple of very loud toms were roosting in the tree, but they are with the hens now, too. Good news is that we're getting some relief. Bad news is that they have left the tree to sit on eggs. So, they may return — with their offspring — to roost later in the year. We hope not. Stay tuned!

I was told by a fish and wildlife expert that the turkeys were likely to leave in March to sit on eggs, which they cannot do while roosting in a tree.

They are likely to return in June.

We'll wait and see.
