Voting today was disrupted at the School for the Blind at 400 Adams St, because the officials in charge failed to obtain the voter registration records needed for half the precinct. I arrived at 7:30 AM only to be told that I could not vote yet, but that they would have the records there in an hour. I returned an hour later, but the records still weren’t there, and I cast a “provisional” ballot at that time. My wife was able to vote about an hour after that, but I have no idea how many voters were turned away prior to that time. There were certainly a hand full of voters that I saw dealing with the same problem, and several left without casting a provisional ballot because they had no faith that it would be counted.
This is inexcusable. The person or persons in charge need to lose their job(s), and if possible charged with criminal negligence.
I reported this as a voter irregularity here: https://www.justice.gov/crt/complaint/votintake/index.php
