30 Trees Planted in Honor of Arbor Day

Aliso Viejo Community Association event encourages locals to plant a tree.

Friday's Arbor Day event, hosted by the Aliso Viejo Community Association at Foxborough Park, attracted local residents as well as parents and children from The Daisies and The Boy Scouts.

Attendees planted more than 30 Jacaranda trees at the south end of the park with the help of the AVCA Board Members Ray DeLeon, Jim Martin, Lisa Naegle and Board President Ross Chun. Capistrano Unified School District Board President Gary Pritchard attended with his daughter Charlotte for the second year in a row.

Parks and Landscape Committee Chair Joe Sachen thanked all participants and sponsors Mission Landscape, O'Connell Landscape and Professional Community Management.
