The contest is testament to the need for school funding for things like uniforms, equipment, field and stadium improvements, transportation, and more. With California schools continue to face funding challenges and sports programs are typically some of the first to suffer from budget constraints.

"Athletic programs notoriously rely on fundraising and with budgets continuing to tighten, public schools fight to keep sports affordable - if they can keep them at all," they said.

Students, parents, faculty and the surrounding communities are left searching for fundraising options to ensure the sports programs can continue and thrive. Active has stepped in to fill that void, they said.

“Based in Southern California, we know schools are underfunded and it’s important to Active that
we help our communities with funding for youth programs,” said Active President Jenner Heller.
“Kids are passionate about the activities they participate in and we want to do our part in enabling
them to live an Active lifestyle.”

Active has long been committed to giving back to the communities it serves. Last year alone, the
brand raised more than $125,000 for local schools, after school programs, sports teams and
various charities through its Perfect Pair sock program.
