Aliso Viejo-Based Johnny Rockets Serving Seoul Food
New store is part of company's international expansion plan.

Johnny Rockets has started serving Seoul food.
In partnership with Shinsegae Food Co., the Aliso Viejo-based hamburger chain opened its first restaurant today in the capital of South Korea.
The restaurant is located in the KangNam Shinsegae Department Store, according to the company. Shinsegae is a subsidiary of Shinsegae Group, owner and operator of department and discount stores throughout Korea.

The company's first 1,067-square-foot Johnny Rockets restaurant is located in a central shopping and transportation venue and employs 29 local residents.

Grand opening festivities included a signing ceremony attended by Shinsegae Foods Inc. CEO, Il-Chae Jung and Johnny Rockets CEO John Fuller.
"We are happy to partner with a brand that we consider the best to accommodate Korea's growing and fast-changing hamburger market," said Ryan Park, assistant manager for Shinsegae Food.
"Our international expansion strategy during the past 25 years has always been to seek out markets that are receptive to our unique blend of Americana and our all-American flavor profiles,'' said Steve Devine, Johnny Rockets senior vice president of international development.
