Aliso Viejo’s Amazing Race

Participating teams were encouraged to dress in coordinating colors to distinguish themselves as teams. The goal was to find the most Flat Stanley dolls.

The Flat Stanley Project began in 1994 as a way to encourage literacy and inspire children to write stories. Children create their own Flat Stanley paper dolls, which are then sent to family and friends around the globe. The family and friends take pictures of Stanley in their town then send him back to the child. Stanley has many stories to tell.

"It was really fun for the teams competing and the many community members we all met along the way," said Holly Telford-Rioux.
