ALISO VIEJO, CA — The City of Aliso Viejo is preparing for the holiday season.
"Early this morning while the sun rose over Aliso Viejo, a spectacular 23-foot tree arrived at Town Center," media information officer Kelly Tokarski said. "The tree is part of a City of Aliso Viejo effort to capture the spirit of the holidays."

The Winter Holiday event is from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Grand Park/Town Center Amphitheater and includes holiday entertainment, a tree lighting ceremony and free hot chocolate and cookies. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be on hand for photos.
