Cardinals Win District Tournament 7-2 Against Laguna Hills

The AAA Cardinals (10 to 11-years-olds) won the District 55 Tournament of Champions after their nine game win, seven-loss season.

Prior to the playoffs the Cardinals, inspired by the Aliso Niguel High School baseball team, received Mohawks, which they painted red before each game.

Coaches credit the teams strong pitching and solid defense to both their post-season and District 55 AAA Little League win.

Seven neighboring District 55 cities sent two of its qualifying teams to the tournament.

The team gave up five runs in the tournament’s four games and finished with a 7-2 win against Laguna Hills.

The Aliso Viejo Dodgers Little League (11 to 12 year olds, Major division team) also came in first at the District 55 Tournament of Champions.
