From a submitted press release:
Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill made its South Orange County debut with its recent opening at The Commons at Aliso Viejo Town Center. Franchise operators Bill Gunstream and David Clouse have an area development agreement with Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill to operate in West Orange County. Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill is known for pitas made from scratch and baked on site daily, salads and sauces prepared each morning from fresh whole vegetables, and all menu offerings made from natural ingredients using original and unique recipes.
Founder, Alon Mor, restaurant veteran and native of the Mediterranean region, based the store’s concept on his homeland experience of buying amazing fresh spices from Mediterranean farmers and combining those spices with farm fresh vegetables to create delicious meals. Translate that to today’s menu which focuses on healthy, fresh Mediterranean cuisine emphasizing fruits, vegetables, nuts, grains, olive oil and grilled or steamed meats.

“Our guests love the quality Mediterranean-style food, the casual dining environment and the ability to build their own entrée”, states Bill Gunstream, franchise owner. “Aliso Viejo was first on our list as a key location to open our store because this area demonstrates a health-conscious and active lifestyle which is a match for our mission. We also always look for a combination of business and residential surroundings. At Aliso Viejo Town Center we feel like we are in ”the town center”.
The menu features pita, Laffa or plates served with your choice of protein. Chicken or steak Shwarma which is a protein marinated with Mediterranean spices is a favorite, along with home-made hummas, kabob platters and Greek salads. Garbanzo Mediterranean Grill features a nice selection of soups with Mediterranean Lentil, Lemon Chicken and Orzo and Roasted Eggplant served daily. They also offer bulk to go orders and party trays. Gunstream pointed out how fun it is to hear customers comment the falafel and many other menu items taste as close to authentic as they’ve ever had. He is also pleased to report well over a majority of their items are gluten-free, vegan-free and vegetarian.
