Group Meeting On How To Make World A Classroom

People to People will have teachers and student ambassadors on hand to explain overseas education program.

If you’ve been thinking about hitting the road — the very long road — to overseas education, circle Wednesday on your calendar.

People to People Ambassador Programs is holding an informational meeting Wednesday at Soka University of America. The meeting is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center’s Blackbox Theater.

Teachers, students and parents are invited to attend the meeting to learn about student ambassador travel opportunities for summer 2015.

The meeting will showcase:

· the certified state teachers who will be leading the area’s student travel program

· local student ambassadors who have previously traveled with People to People

· the benefits of student travel and how to gain an academic edge

· scholarships that are available to student ambassadors.

Since the 1960s, more than 500,000 people from around the world have traveled with People to People Ambassador Programs, according to the company, to help further global understanding through cross-cultural exchange.
