Last Call for Green Ideas

The final Green City Initiative workshop takes place tonight at 7 p.m. in City Hall.

Tonight's session will review the previous 10 workshops, which discussed a range of topics that would help incorporate sustainable living practices into the lives of Aliso Viejo residents.

For the past 16 months, residents were invited to attend these workshops to provide their input and ideas. Public involvement is encouraged during tonight's meeting as well.

Workshop topics have included:

• Energy use
• Water use
• Transportation
• Vehicle management
• Recycling
• Waste management
• Land use

Aliso Viejo's "green team" will be working to incorporate the Green Initiative into the city's general plan.
