A 14-year-old girl who had been reported missing from her home in Arizona turned up in Aliso Viejo on Thursday.Â
Vaghe Cain, 14, who lives in the Phoenix suburb of Surprise, was found around 6 p.m. by deputies from the Orange County Sheriff's Department.Â
According to this report from KPHO-TV, Cain had been reported as a runaway last Friday in Arizona. Her 17-year-old boyfriend had driven to Surprise and brought her back to Aliso Viejo.
The two had apparently struck up a relationship through the Xbox Live gaming system about a year ago.
Events began to unfold when the boys' father notified the Orange County Sheriff's Department after becoming concerned with how much time his son's new girlfriend -- Cain -- was spending in his home. When the father asked Cain for her parents' contact info, she refused to provide any. That's when he called the OCSD.
According to KPHO-TV, Cain's mother said that playing games and meeting people through Xbox Live was her daughter's "social interaction," that she suffered from social anxiety disorder, and always felt more comfortable around people older than herself.
