PHOTOS: Fun Free Play for Toddlers

Aliso Viejo Library program promotes early literacy skills.

The ’s weekly Toddler Play and Learn class promotes early literacy through phonological awareness.

The program uses music, stories and toys designed to inspire language and sounds to promote literacy in a fun, relaxed way. While there is the occasional guest speaker, the class is usually a free-for-all of playtime and socialization for both the parents and the toddlers.

No registration is necessary for the open play class, which takes place Thursdays at 11 a.m. in the community room next to the library. Toys and books are provided for children and parent use.
