Road Construction Begins this Week

The annual slurry seal project is underway, causing some lane closures.

The annual slurry seal project to extend the life of Aliso Viejo streets began this week.

Crack sealing and striping removal prep work has already begun and crews will begin applying the slurry seal on April 2. The project should be completed at the end of next month. New striping will be applied after the slurry seal installation.

Slurry seal will be applied to public streets in the following communities:

  • Skyview 1 and 2
  • Alta Vista
  • Cozumel
  • Lyon Ridge
  • Heather Ridge

It will also be applied to:

  • City Lights
  • Journey
  • Liberty
  • Oak View
  • Orion
  • Pursuit
  • Aliso Viejo Parkway from Aliso Creek Road (Wolverine) to Enterprise
  • Pacific Park Drive from Aliso Creek Road to Aliso Viejo Parkway

Lane closures and traffic delays should be expected in these areas. Residential streets will be closed completely on the day work is completed. Impacted residents will be notified two to three days in advance.
