Saddleback Valley Calendar 2019-20: 1st Day Of School & More
When's the first day of school in Aliso Viejo? Plus, other must-know dates for students, parents, and teachers.
ALISO VIEJO, CA — The Saddleback Valley Unified School District will welcome students back to school on Aug. 26 in either a date to dread or one to look forward to.
Either way, it's a traditional date that's instrumental in a child's development. Teachers will report in three days prior.
Back to school night will take place for High School on Oct. 2. Middle School Students back to school night will take place on Sept. 25, and Elementary School back to school night will take place on Sept. 11.

There is no school for students on Sept. 2 for the Labor Day holiday. Other significant dates include:
- Fall Recess Day on Oct. 9
- District Development days on Nov. 1
- Veterans Day on Nov. 11
- Thanksgiving Break on Nov. 28-29
- Holiday break from Dec. 23-Jan. 3
