Skip the Movie, Walk Town Center Loop

Take a stroll through one of Aliso Viejo many trails.

Beginning at Pacific Park Drive and Aliso Viejo Parkway, my family and I began the approximately 3-mile Town Center Loop Trail.

In about the same length of time it takes to watch a family movie at Edwards Aliso Viejo Stadium, one hour and 30 minutes, you can explore the trail.

The area around Aliso Viejo's Town Center is considered a "walker's paradise," according to Walk Score, a website that measures how "walkable" a city is based on distance to amenities.

The city of Aliso Viejo built the trail to give the community a safe environment to exercise and easy access to amenities.

Seating, trash receptacles, public art, lighting and more enhancements to the landscaping will be added to the trail over time. It is enjoyable as it, but unique characteristics, like the public art, could help distract walkers from the loud cars driving nearby.

The city plans to improve the amount of walking and biking space within the city. Although the locations of the complete streets have not been announced, the Town Center area would be a nice place to start.

Town Center Loop Trail directions: From Pacific Park, make a left on Aliso Viejo Parkway and follow it down to Aliso Creek Road, make a left on Aliso Creek and follow that street until you make a left on Enterprise. Make another left on Aliso Creek Road and follow the path until you reach your starting location at Pacific Park Road.
