MANpower

Irvine Counseling Center encourages open discussions among men by hosting weekly meetings on what it means to be a man in the 21st Century.

Beginning April 25, The Chicago School of Professional Psychology’s Counseling Center at Irvine will host weekly men’s group meetings to discuss what it means to be a man in today’s society.

“We will provide an environment in which men respect themselves and each other, and can comfortably and openly express themselves as they learn from one another,” said Dr. Julie Wilnier, Director of the Center.

The group will meet on Tuesdays from 7:30 to 8:50 pm at the Counseling Center, located at University Tower, 4th Floor, 4199 Campus Drive, Irvine. Those interested in making an appointment or attending a group meeting should call Blake at (949) 769-7768. Cost per group session is $10, or discounted for a one-time, up-front $80 payment for the 10-week series.

Career and psychological assessment services are offered as well, to evaluate for such things as learning disabilities, ADHD, and Autism Spectrum disorders. All of the outstanding services are offered on a sliding scale and sessions are unlimited.

In addition to English, the Counseling Center at Irvine offers services in Spanish, Farsi, Mandarin, Taiwanese and Korean. Counting both therapeutic and assessment services, the Center provided more than 5,000 hours of support to the community last year.
