Congratulations to this former boxing club instructor who just won the Super Light Weight Title Championship. He is now ranked #3 in the US.

BALDWIN PARK, CA — Baldwin Park Boxing Club Alumni and former Boxing Club instructor Jose "Chon" Zepeda overwhelmingly won a unanimous decision, crowning him the new USNBC super lightweight champion. Hard work led him to his current professional career where "Chon" is ranked #3 in the United States and #5 in the World in the lightweight division.
Jose Zepeda began his amateur career in Baldwin Park, CA first as a boxing club member and then as an amateur boxing instructor from December of 2008 to December of 2011.
Eighty percent of Zepeda's wins have been via knockouts with a total of twenty-five K.O.'s. Much of his success stems from his cornermen Mr. Sal Hernandez and his brother Mr. Rene Zepeda.
In 2018, he won the World Boxing Association Intercontinental Light Weight Title. The previous year, Jose "Chon" Zepeda captured the World Boxing Organization International Super Light Weight title.
