Baldwin Park Homicide Suspect Believed to be in the Neighborhood (VIDEO)

Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff are seeking the public's assistance in obtaining any information regarding the whereabouts of Johny Mata, a 32-year-old El Monte resident, who is wanted in connection to a 2010 murder in the city of Baldwin Park.Â
On december 24, 2010, a group of individuals were standing in the 13000 Block of Francisquito Avenue in Baldwin Park. A lone gunman walked up and fired into the crowd multiple times with a handgun.Â
The victim, 34-year-old and Baldwin Park resident David Deanda was struck in the torso and died on the way to the hospital.Â

David is survived by his stepdaughter Alicia, who is 14, his daughter Brianna, who is 8 and his son David III, who is 3.Â
He was a certified welder who was studying auto mechanics.Â

Anyone with information on Mata's whereabouts was asked to call the Sheriff's Homicide Bureau at (323) 890-5500 or LA Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477. All tips can be made anonymously.
