Baldwin Park 'Plaza On Maine' to be Re-Opened
A free community event will be held Saturday that includes, live mariachis, folkloric ballet, and the chance to win prizes from Park Plaza on Maine merchants.

A good place to be on Saturday, in Baldwin Park is Park Plaza on Maine. The NewMark Merrill Companies, owners of the shooping center invites the public to attend a free community event on March 9 from 1 – 4 p.m. to celebrate the completion of the major renovation and redevelopment.Â
The event begins with a 1 p.m. with a ceremony led by the Sierra Vista High School Marching Band, and a performance of the National Anthem by Creative Planet School of the Arts students.
A group of school and youth organization sports team members from the Baldwin Park National Little League, Eastside Little League, Jerry D. Holland Middle School and the Mojica Judo Club will be joining Anaheim Bolts players at the ribbon cutting ceremony.

The celebration will include free games, sports activities, train ride, music and chance to win prizes. During the event children can attend an Anaheim Bolts soccer clinic and learn some moves from the Anaheim Bolts Dance team.Â
NewMark Merrill Companies will make donations to youth sports and music programs as part of the Re-Opening celebration.Â

Following the ribbon cutting ceremony the Sierra Vista High School Band will perform followed by activities, and chance to win great prizes from Park Plaza on Maine merchants.
The outdoor event will include stage performances of Baldwin Parks and Recreation Department Ballet Folklorico Carolina, live mariachi band, judo demonstration, the Jerry D. Holland Middle School Chorus and vocal and dance performance.
Park Plaza on Maine, is located at the intersection of Ramona Boulevard and Maine Avenue in Baldwin Park.
