Baldwin Park Police Investigates Robbery and Kidnapping of Woman

Victim was ordered into a car by verbal force. She was not injured.

Investigators with the Baldwin Park Police Department (BPPD) continue today looking for a couple who allegedly kidnapped and robbed a woman in a street of Baldwin Park.

According to Sgt. Mark Harvey with the BPPD the incident took place last Tuesday around 4:45 p.m. and close to the intersection of Ramona Blvd and Foster Avenue, when two suspects approach a female victim when she was walking on the street. 

"They ordered into a car by verbal force," said Harvey. "The victim was drove to her home where they robbed cash and jewelry, then they drove her to her bank and tell them to withdraw cash."

Police said the woman was not injured and the total lost was in excess of 2,000 dollars in cash and jewelry. 

Suspects were driving a gray van and were described as a male and female, hispanic in their 30s.
