Baldwin Park Relay For Life This Saturday
The American Cancer Society will be enrolling people into CPS-3, a long-term study that will help researchers better identify the lifestyle, environmental, and genetic factors that cause or prevent cancer.

Bound by the courage of survivorship and the memory of loved ones lost, a total of 43 teams and 463 participants will join each other this Saturday May 18 for Relay For Life event.Â
The Relay for Life raises funds for the American Cancer Society and honors those whose lives have been touched by cancer. The American Cancer Society encourages teams to have somebody walking the track from the beginning of the event to the end, though that is not mandatory.
This year only, the Relay event in Baldwin Park will offer the unique opportunity to participate first-hand in a landmark new study, the Cancer Prevention Study-3 (CPS-3).

In addition to teams raising money to walk in the event, individuals can purchase Luminaria for $10 each. The white bags each represent a person who has had a cancer, a survivor or one who passed away.
