Baldwin Park Reserve Officer Reportedly Fires on Burglary Suspect in Canyon Country

A Baldwin Park reserve police officer fired one shot at a burglary suspect who entered his Canyon Country home while the officer was home with his family, reports the Santa Clarita Valley Signal.

According to the police account, the officer ordered the perpetrator to stop and lie down on the floor.  The suspect then took off, carrying two stolen purses and escaped through a broken glass door, according to the Signal.
